Admitted to practice in Jamaica in 1993 and in the British Virgin Islands in 1998.  He was educated at the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. He practised as an Associate at another leading Jamaican law firm, during which time he was assigned to their offices in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. In 1999 he left the private bar and entered the public service joining FINSAC Limited, an agency under the Ministry of Finance & Planning set up by the Jamaican Government to restructure the local financial sector. While at FINSAC, Patrick headed a department which had responsibility for, inter alia, monitoring the process of rehabilitation of local financial institutions, as well as concluding the contractual arrangements for the sale of the Government's controlling stake in Jamaica's largest life insurer and two of its largest commercial banks. He joined the firm in September, 2002.  He is a director of First Global Financial Services Limited, Independent Radio Company Limited, Postal Corporation of Jamaica Limited and K.L.E. Group Limited.

In private practice, Patrick has appeared before courts in Jamaica and the British Virgin Islands on various commercial litigation matters. Since joining the firm, he has developed a practice in the areas of company law, securities, financial services, mergers and acquisitions, and debt and equity capital market transactions.

Patrick is a member of the Commercial Law Committee of the Jamaican Bar Association and an Associate Tutor at the Norman Manley Law School. He has a keen interest in corporate governance and serves on the Corporate Governance Committee of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, the Best Practises Awards Committee of the Jamaica Stock Exchange and conducts training in corporate governance.

He was named as one of the Leading Commercial Lawyers in Jamaica by both Chambers Global and IFLR.
